This is a link to a website about the artist David Nash. He is a sculptor who uses natural elements in which to sculpt his artwork - e.g. fallen trees, coal, natural land marks etc. I chose to look at this artist as inspiration for my vitural exhibtion as he uses the natural world around him to create art and I want to display the artists’ work I have chosen in a naturally formed cave setting.
My virtual exhibition idea. I want to create my ideal exhibition within a cave. I drew out a few sketches to try and figure out how I could create a virtual exhibition display of this. To begin with I thought maybe images would do to represent the exhibition but I tried out another idea where I would use a box to display my work in and photograph images of the exhibition in a portfolio to show close-up imagery.
The cave will be represented with a series of collage to display the cave walls and floor. I will use both photographs I have taken of rock formation and also imagery from books/internet of other caves. This is just an idea in its embryo but I think it’s an interesting way of showing my work. The artists I plan to use will be some of the artists I have looked at in my individual practice work.
